About the install.
Built around a custom cast logo recessed into the over-mantel — the project's anchor element. The mantel runs twice the size of a standard New French, with custom straight legs framing the firebox so the proportions hold at scale.
A new detail joined them: matching mantel-profile work pulled down onto the hearth, so the floor element reads as part of the surround instead of a separate slab. One continuous architectural statement.
Designed for a room built to host. The party home brief called for a fireplace that anchors a crowd from across the room; the oversized mantel + hearth treatment delivers exactly that.
